IMS: 2015 smart phone sales in the Asian market will be quadrupled

        March,19th,  Communications World Network (CWW) according to the British market research firm IMS point that Asia annual shipments of smart phones, to be presented four times the 2015 growth rate of global sales and account for 39%.

        IMS said that this wave system, the major trend growth of smartphones by China and India, driven by strong demand, the traditional smart phone manufacturers in terms of a challenge, and will open the vast gray market areas, the formation of more intense competition.

        In terms of the overall market, IMS is estimated that between 2009-2015, the sales of smart phones during the same year by 25.9% compared to last.

        2009 smart phone sales in Asia reached 60.2 million units, the number of 182.4 million at the global rate of 33% in Taichung. IMS estimates that in 2015, the global smart phone shipments will have around 710.8 million units, while sales in Asia will grow to 39% rate of -2.772 million units.

        IMS analyst ChrisSchreck said in a statement to promote the growth of the Asian region there are two factors. One is the size of the market in China and India, large, and the second is by the scale of economic impact, smart phone prices are down, is no longer a luxury hard to find a machine, so much easier to promote the development of regional markets in Asia.

        In addition, more and more influx of Asian competition in the market mobile phone manufacturers such as Huawei, ZTE (HK-00763), HTC and Acer, etc.. Finally, the Asian region, the gray market phone phenomenon more obvious than in Western markets, so that consumers can buy more generally to the phone.

        Some of this growing competition, as struggling competitors in developed countries against the West Asian countries, creating a market opportunity.
